In my opionion these students must be punished, but with a special punishment, no a traditional one. They must work or study at school in the evenings to compensate the time they have missed.
On one hand this measure is right because they don’t want to be at school a lot of time, so they would think a little more before not attending school. On the other hand, this is not the best solution because some of these students would be at school practically all evenings and there is very expensive. The school would have to pay some teachers to be there monitoring the students.
Another measure could be that the parents for the pupils were informed each time their children don’t attend school. This would be a good way to know if they haven’t attended for a good reason (they are ill, they have to go to the doctor) or it’s because they are hooligans.
Eventually I only want to say that I agree with the regulation of the IES GABRIEL I FERRATER of notifying the absences to the parents.

Well done, Aleix, though it's not a for and against essay, but an opinion essay (you only say you are in favour of punishing students, but don't give arguments against it).
If you could organise this information in different paragraphs, much better.
The first paragraph could be a general introduction to the topic (opening).
Be careful with the connector "on one hand" (sic)... there's a word missing...

Are you one of many pupils who don't go to class? These pupils have or haven't to be punished? Should students be punished for not attending school?
The people think that these students must be punished, but with a special punishment, no a traditional one. They must work or study at school in the evenings to compensate the time they have missed.

Wanted!!!
Last Monday, the 7th of April a psychopath killer escaped from Reus courts. After escaping he ran into IES GABRIEL I FERRATER, where I study. Ramón the janitor of our school, subdned him. Unfortunately, before the killer was overpowered, he hurt our philosophy teacher. Finally we were safe at all, and also we were so happy because that day we wouldn't have philosophy class. Later a journalist asked as if it had been a traumatic situation, but we told him that it had been wery thrilling.
